2015 Formula 1 Santander German Grand Prix Break moto germany
The 10th meeting of the Grand Prix season sees the drivers tackling the famous Nürburgring track in Germany. Nico Rosberg won last year’s German Grand Prix, his first time on home soil; although Sebastien Vettel came out on top last time out on this track in 2013. Rosberg will be looking to make it two wins in two, but will face competition from fellow German Vettel for a win in front of a home crowd. Germany has a rich history of motor racing, with events held as far back as 1907. However, it wasn’t until 1951 that a World Championship event was hosted on German soil, with Nürburgring being the initial host. The event moved to Hockenheim in 1977, until 2007 when an agreement was reached to alternate between the two tracks.

2015 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix Break moto hungary
The 11th race of the F1 season sees the top drivers in the world do battle in Hungary. The Hungaroring has been challenging teams and drivers since it became the setting of the first race held behind the Iron Curtain in 1986. Since then the track has hosted 28 World Championship races, with both Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton holding the record of most wins, with four each. Daniel Riccardo will return to the Hungaroring with fond memories; in 2014 he started forth on the grid to claim his second Grand Prix win in a weather affected race, Alonso and Hamilton joined him on the podium, but who will be up there next time around?

2015 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix Break moto singapur
Singapore was a venue for many non-championship motor races in the 60s and 70s, but it wasn’t until 2008 that a World Championship Grand Prix was held here. The Marina Bay Street Circuit (Asia’s first ever street circuit) was also the setting for the first-time an F1 race was held at night. This was mainly due to allow the European audience to watch at prime-time, but makes for a fantastic experience for those in attendance. Whilst the inaugural night race created much in the way of excitement, it will always be remembered for the infamous “crashgate” which saw Nelson Piquet Jr. deliberately crash to allow Renault teammate Fernando Alonso to cross the finish line first. Now with Ferrari, Alonso will be looking to take the chequered flag by more sporting means; although he’ll have a fight on his hands, with Sebastian Vettel having won the last three races held here. Lewis Hamilton is a big fan of the track too, having won here in 2009. This year’s event is set to be a tight one, with all three vying for pole position.

2015 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Break
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the last race of the F1 calendar but is far from the least. Abu Dhabi is a relatively new race in the Formula 1 schedule, only introduced in 2009 the Yas Marina circuit is a modern, complex, track is set on the edge of the Yas Marina and features the world’s longest straight. The circuit on one side is watched by people on boats moored in the harbour and surrounded by magnificent over the top grand stands and architecture on the other. Built to the highest of specification, supplies were brought in from around the world, including the surface of the track that was brought in from England, the track, grandstands, and pits were all built in two years. The track is in its infancy after six F1 grand prix races; Sebastian Vettel has made it one of his favourite’s circuits with three wins, Lewis Hamilton has claimed top spot twice and Kimi Räikkönen has claimed one race win here. Although the track does not have the history of other tracks in the F1 schedule it does have the prestigious background of one of the world’s richest countries. The final race of the Formula 1 season on the 29th November will be hosted in Abu Dhabi, which crowns the drivers and constructors champion for the season.
